Emily is a seasoned theatre artist, educator, and director with more than a decade of experience shaping performers both on and off the stage. As the founder of Boldly Dramatic: Music and Theatre Studio, she is passionate about helping singers and actors of all ages develop confidence, artistry, and strong technical foundations while discovering their unique creative voice.

Emily studied Vocal Performance at Coastal Carolina University, with an emphasis in musical theatre and opera. Her career has spanned nearly every facet of the performing arts, giving her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to create exceptional theatre. Her experience includes vocal instruction, music direction, stage direction, stage management, company management, production leadership, and arts education. She has worked across community theatre, regional theatre, and national touring productions, allowing her to bring a broad, real-world perspective into every rehearsal and lesson.

Emily lead a youth performing arts school for many years, where she developed a curriculum, directed productions, and mentored hundreds of young performers. She has created an encouraging, disciplined, and professional environment as a teacher and a dynamic leader.

As a performer, Emily has appeared in nearly 200 productions over the past fifteen years. Her diverse performance career includes everything from bold, comedic characters such as Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show to emotionally dramatic roles like Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde. Her versatility on stage, combined with extensive experience behind the scenes, allows her to coach performers with insight from every perspective of the theatrical process.

Whether directing a full-scale musical, coaching a vocalist, mentoring young actors, or leading a production team, Emily is known for her creativity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. She believes theatre is more than performance-it's a place where confidence is built, artistry is cultivated, and lifelong skills are developed. Through every class, rehearsal, and production, her mission is to inspire the next generation of performers to dream boldly, work fearlessly, and tell stories that matter.
